President Trump can’t be blame for the collapse of the Democrat Party over the last twenty years. If the people Dems support and stand with would simply vote, the situation would be different. We shouldn’t play the victim role; it’s not a good look.
As fingers are pointed and circular firing squads formed, my moderate/centrist friends and I are watching the drama. Of course, the liberal/progressive section of the party had little use for country bumpkins from rural areas. Newsflash: Democrats in Red areas could have tipped the balance in Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and North Florida.
Without Democrats in Republican congressional districts, the Dems might be dead for the next 20 years. We begged for a seat at the table and they said “we got this.” What they got was a shellacking and everyone who had a part in ignoring the rural areas shouldn’t be part of any solutions. By my calculations, rural Black voters in the South could sway many elections from GOP to Dem if motivated or self-motivated.
That motivation should come from the new found freedom of the tongue of those on the far Right—I want my stolen nation back.
Matthew 7:17-20
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
On every level, the Dem so-called leadership team that didn’t want moderates, Blue Dogs or dare I say conservative Democrats were important should be cast into the fire…not literally. Since the early 1990s, they haven’t produced good fruit.
