   Okay, Van, my friend from congressional staffing days, was visiting Martha’s Vineyard and his lovely wife sent me a famous Black Dog Tavern hat to remind me that I should be successful enough to rock the summer rental there by now or some point in the future. She is right.

   Come to think about it, Van sent me an Atlanta Olympics hat when he was working with former Georgia Rep. Lindsey Thomas at the AOC. I should have got him a hat or two in the holy land.
