Tom: I don’t know…I don’t know..you cats at SWGA politics are more than bloggers or IT guys voicing your options. If the Peach Pundit crew are having meetups, Ron, you guys and me need to have a little south Georgia sit down at Carter’s Grill, Jimmie’s Hot Dogs or White’s Seafood (for non-south Georgians the owners of “Whites” are my classmates from K-12 and the name shouldn’t be taken out of context…actually, the place is just south of Albany State University so check them out after the game and hit Shahbazz Fish Supreme before ASU football games if you can get in the door…Gordon Hall of Shahbazz is also from Worth County..do I get a free fruit punch for this plug.)

Wait a second, could the detailed post on SWGA politics blog be the foundation of some political careers. With all due respect, I have seen statewide candidates from the LP in the past who could not discussion policies half as well as you guys.

Unfortunately, all media has bias. It's a natural human condition that, I believe, seeps in unintentionally in most cases. Yes, Fox News is biased, and MSNBC is biased as well. Keith Olbermann is one of the worst IMHO though. Rachel Maddow as probably THE worst as far as bias on MSNBC.

However, bias isn't the problem. I think it's hiding the bias. When people watch Fox or MSNBC thinking that they'll see unbiased reporting, then it's wrong because they're misleading people to believe that their particular party line is the truth, when really the truth is elsewhere. Were they to simply market themselves as biased in whatever direction, then people could adjust fire and know what they're getting.

SWGA Politics is primarily libertarian in it's leanings. We have never pretended to be otherwise. And yet, it's not all libertarians who come to read us. You're a moderate democrat, and yet you have readers from the Republican and Libertarian parties. We know where your bias will be, just as you know ours. They're not hidden, so you know what to expect. So many in the mainstream media won't do that.

And people wonder why newspapers are drying up ;)
