In college, we thought the Democrats were for the workers (labor) and the Republicans were for the company owners and bankers.

But, we are in a period of transformation politically and I love options and alternatives. Things change over time and what we considered apples and oranges have become some hybrid fruit sold by the nursery in Ty Ty, Georgia.

For example, most of the African Americans around me when I was a kid functioned under the assumption that we as a race were for the most part pushing toward achievement and excellent but many of the fools I see in my community are more of a threat to peace than the Klan and the Taliban put together. We must reassess the reality of the situation.

Some Republicans woke up to realize that their party messed up some things and I appreciate their honesty. That’s why it is time for the Democrats to mess up for awhile. Kidding.

Many Republicans are starting to come over to the Libertarian party, mostly because of the actions of those Republicans in power.

I have said for a while that the difference between the two parties is who they want the government to fund. With Democrats it's the poor people of the US, and with the Republicans it's the poor corporations of the US.

It's a shame too, because once upon a time, the two parties provided what I felt was a nice counter to one another. Now, they're just two sides of a debating society arguing about where all the spending should go.
